Women’s Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University (WHZJU), also named as Zhejiang Women’s Hospital and Zhejiang Women’s Health Care Hospital, is one of the largest and best specialized hospitals of obstetrics and gynecology in China and the leading unit of China Regional Clinical Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology. Established in 1951, WHZJU has maintained an unwavering commitment to offering state-of-the-art medical care, delivering high-quality medical education and advancing pioneering scientific research, leading numerous significant breakthroughs that have improved health of women and their babies nationwide and even worldwide.
Currently, WHZJU has 1120 beds and a total of 2463 staff members, including nearly 2000 physicians, nurses and medical technicians. By the end of 2022, there will be two campuses covering more than 300,000 square meters. With 1,500,000 outpatient visits and 80,000 inpatient admissions each year, the hospital is dedicated to providing a wide range of medical services for the whole life course of women, from primary care to cutting-edge treatment of complex and rare conditions in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecological oncology, reproductive endocrinology, neonatology and breast cancer, etc. WHZJU is consistently ranked among the top obstetrics and gynecology hospitals in China. In 2018,2019 and 2020, WHZJU consecutively ranked #3 in “Performance Assessment of National Tertiary Public Hospitals: Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitals” by National Health Commission of China. In 2020, it was recognized as #4 in “China’s Hospital Rankings: Obstetrics and Gynecology” by Hospital Management Institute of Fudan University and #3 in “Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics of China’s Hospitals: Obstetrics and Gynecology” by Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. In 2021, it was accredited as one of “Hangzhou Internationalized Hospitals”.
WHZJU values its reputation of providing first-class medical education to students, residents and other health professionals from across the nation and the globe. The hospital boasts master degree and doctor degree programs and a series of high-quality courses. “Obstetrics and Gynecology” is a national quality course, a national quality resource sharing course, an English brand course for international students authorized by the Ministry of Education and a quality online open course for international undergraduates. “Virtual Simulation Experiment Teaching of Labor and Neonatal Management” is a national first-class undergraduate course and a national virtual simulation experimental teaching program. WHZJU has a national clinical teaching and training demonstration center, a national medical virtual simulation experimental teaching center and a national standardized residents training base. It is the first editor-in-chief unit of the 8th and 9th editions of the national planning textbook titled Obstetrics and Gynecology.
WHZJU has remained at the forefront of scientific research across the full spectrum of women’s health, especially on gynecological oncology, general gynecology, maternal medicine, reproductive medicine. WHZJU is home to three ministry/provincial level key laboratories: Key Laboratory of Reproductive Genetics (Zhejiang University), Ministry of Education, P.R.China, Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Women’s Reproductive Health Research, and Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Precision Diagnosis and Therapy for Major Gynecological Diseases. The hospital strives to facilitate multi-disciplines connection and cooperation, ensuring an innovative, collaborative and supportive environment for researchers and physicians to perform groundbreaking research and translate discoveries into better treatments for patients.
WHZJU has maintained multi-level partnership with academic institutions and hospitals of more than ten countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia, Britain, Belgium, and countries along the “Belt&Road”. So far, the hospital has established three joint research centers and a provincial International Science and Technology Cooperation Base of Reproductive Health. Since 2012, the hospital has established a sister cooperative relationship with University of British Columbia. And it was the first exam venue of MRCOG Part I in the mainland of China. WHZJU not only invites world-renown experts and scholars to carry out online/offline academic exchanges, but also encourages and supports staff members to conduct joint research aboard, attend international meetings and launch international MDTs so as to develop a talent team with international vision and competence.

Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Hold a doctoral degree granted by a well-known university majoring in medicine, basic medicine, biology, bioinformatics, life science, public health etc.
2. Keep good professional ethics, rigorous academic spirit, enthusiastic in medicine, and in good health.
3. Rich and outstanding experience in scientific research, clinical care or teaching.
