WHZJU strives to establish all-round international cooperation network with multi-channels, multi-levels and multi-types and is dedicated to developing a talent team with international vision and ability of leadership. 

Currently, the hospital has established academic and cooperative relationship with world-class hospitals and universities of more than ten countries and regions, including the United States, Japan, Germany, Australia, Britain, Singapore, Sweden, Canada, Belgium, Hong Kong. We introduce foreign advanced medical practice and technologies, and invite international-leading experts and scholars of world-class universities and institutes to carry out diverse academic exchanges. So far, we have 15 guest professors of Zhejiang University and 6 guest professors of School of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Zhejiang University School of Medicine. The hospital has establish three international cooperative research centers in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, including the Zhejiang University-University of British Columbia (UBC) Collaborative Research Center in Reproductive Medicine, the Zhejiang University-The Chinese University of Hong Kong Joint Research Center for Human Reproduction and Related Diseases, and Women’s Reproductive Health Laboratory of Zhejiang Province—School of Population, University of Western Australia in gynecological cancer of molecular epidemiology. Since 2009, the hospital has established a sister cooperative relationship with Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of British Columbia. And our hospital has been the 24th exam venue of MRCOG Part I, which is the only venue in Mainland China since 2012. In 2019, we have joined the Belt & Road Health Professional Development Alliance, thus countries along the Belt & Road will become one of our important cooperative partners. In addition, we regularly send young medical professionals to conduct joint research aboard and attend international meetings. In future, on the basis of the original cooperation, we will continuously carry out high-level cooperation and academic exchanges with top medical universities and hospitals in the world such as Harvard University, Yale University, UCLA, UBC and KU Leuven.

International Affairs Office of WHZJU was established in June 2018. Currently, vice president LUO Qiong takes in charge of the office. Dr. Liu Aixia is deputy director of the office.
