WHZJU’s FENG Suwen Granted a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing
FENG Suwen, Director of Nursing Department of Women’s Hospital, School of Medicine Zhejiang University, was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. This year’s award ceremony for Fellows of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN) kicked off on October 6, 2023, local time in Washington, United States. RN FENG Suwen was officially awarded the title of FAAN at the 50th annual meeting.
The American Academy of Nursing Sciences was founded in 1973 and is dedicated to serving the public and nursing professionals, promoting health policies, and facilitating the development of knowledge, education, and practice in nursing. Being elected as FAAN is considered one of the highest honors in the field of nursing research in the United States as well as the most prestigious academic honor in the global nursing community. As of now, there are over 3000 members worldwide, all of whom are nursing researchers, clinical nursing experts, and hospital managers with outstanding achievements in nursing education, management, practice, research, and policy.
FENG Suwen, Chief Nurse and Doctoral Supervisor, currently serves as a member of the Party Committee, the Director of Nursing Department at Women’s Hospital School of Medicine Zhejiang University, Vice Chairman of the Gynecological Nursing Branch of the Chinese Nursing Association, and an editorial board member of the International Journal of Nursing Sciences. As an experienced gynecology nurse, FENG Suwen demonstrates a commitment to women’s health with a specific focus on preventing and rehabilitating pelvic floor disease. As a nurse researcher, she presided over 5 provincial-ministerial-level projects, 5 provincial-level projects, and 1 university-level project, accumulating more than 1 million RMB in funding, published over a hundred papers as the first author and/or corresponding author in SCI journals (including 4 medical TOP journals) and Chinese core journals such as the Chinese Journal of Nursing, issued 3 professional books, gained 5 patents, and supervised 39 Ph.D.s and masters.
