1.The Treatment of Hypertensive Disorder Complicated Pregnancy (HDP)

The HDP are a major cause of maternal and perinatal mortality and morbidity worldwide, especially those complicated by pre-eclampsia/ eclampsia. In decades of clinical works, Prof. Jing He has had a wealth of experience in diagnosis and treatment of HDP. By passing on experience generation after generation, Unit 2 has its own distinct specialty in managing HDP and can offer patients the most suitable and individualized treatment. 

(2) Vaginal Birth after Cesarean Section

As one of the pioneers in carrying out trial of labor after cesarean section (TOLAC), our unit sticks to the clinical guidelines in candidate selection and labor management and have accumulated rich experience. Prof. Jing He also participated in developing the consensus of TOLAC in China. Now, through high-quality training, the department of obstetrics has had a strong and complete medical team including obstetricians, midwives, nurses and other obstetric care providers to offer professional and safe medical care for women attempting TOLAC. We will continue to follow the principle of normalization, sufficiently weigh the benefits and risks, strictly master the indications and contraindications, and to improve obstetric quality and safety.

(3) Advanced Maternal Age (AMA) Pregnancies 

Older pregnant women are at higher risk of aneuploidy, gestational diabetes, hypertensive disorders, and operative delivery, which may result in the higher incidence of cesarean delivery and associated complications. Thanks to the outstanding ability of dealing with almost all kinds of obstetric complications and emergencies, our unit could offer precise and individualized management in pregnancy and perinatal period for AMA. It’s worth mentioning that Prof. Jing He has successfully managed a 61-year-old pregnant woman and a 52-year-old one and achieved safe delivery, of which the latter was twin pregnancy, setting a precedent in Zhejiang Province.
