President; Secretary of Party Committee of Women’s Hospital

Dr. Lyu Wei-guo is president and secretary of party committee of Woman’s Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine; professor and chief physician of Obstetrics and Gynecology; director of Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Family Planning of Zhejiang University;director of Zhejiang Uterine Malignant Tumor Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Research Center; deputy director of Women’s Reproductive Health Key Laboratory of Zhejiang Province. He is “QiuShi” distinguished physician of Zhejiang University in 2015, and an outstanding mid-aged expert of National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China in 2015.

He graduated from Zhejiang Medical University in 1987. Since then, Dr. Lyu has devoted himself to the clinical and basic research of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Lyu is the leader of National Key Research and Development Program named Research on new technologies and programs for cervical cancer screening and intervention. He is in charge of more than 20 projects, such as key projects of national natural science foundation of China, ministerial and provincial research projects, etc. As a major participant, his team won the National Second Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, five awards of the ministerial and provincial science and technology achievements and obtained two National Invention Patents.

Up till now, Dr. Lyu has published nearly 100 articles, more than 40 articles published in SCI, such as “Oncogene”, “Br J Cancer” and “SCI Report”, etc.

Dr. Lyu is at the editorial board of the national planning textbook “Obstetrics and Gynecology” (Eighth edition and Ninth edition). Dr. Lyu is a executive editor of “Progress in Obstetrics and Gynecology” and “Chinese journal of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology”, and he is at editorial board of “Journal of Zhejiang university-science B”, “National Medical Journal of China”, “Journal of Zhejiang University”(Medical Edition), “Journal of International Obstetrics and Gynecology” and “Obstetrics-Gynecology and Genetics” (Electronic edition).

Executive deputy director of Zhejiang Diagnostic& Treatment Center for Cervical Disease, director of Zhejiang Cervical Cancer Prevention and Control Technology Training Base; Standing committee member of obstetrics and gynecology branch of Chinese Medical Association, standing committee member of obstetrics and gynecology branch of China International Exchange and Promotion Association for Medical and Healthcare, incoming director of obstetrics and gynecology branch of Zhejiang Medical Association, director of gynecological oncology branch of Zhejiang Medical Association, deputy director of maternal and child healthcare management committee of Zhejiang Preventive Medicine Association, deputy director of gynecologic oncology branch of Zhejiang Anti-cancer Association, vice chair of obstetrics and gynecology association of Zhejiang Medical Doctor Association.
