Dr. Zhang Dan is a professor, chief physician of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and also is vice president in charges of education, scientific research and international cooperation of the hospital. She gained her master and Ph.D. degree from Zhejiang University School of Medicine. In 2011, she became visiting Scholar at the Southampton University Hospital. In 2016, she was a visiting scholar at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In 2017-2018, she was visiting scholar at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Her major research directions are: 1.Safety and improvement of assisted reproductive technology; 2.Reproductive aging and reproductive genetics. She has published more than 40 papers in SCI journals such as Molecular Aspects of Medicine, Aging Cell, Human Genetics, among which 40 papers are published as first/co-first/corresponding/co-corresponding author. She is in charge of 5 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and 1 project of Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scientists, and 7 other provincial-level projects, and serves as key investigator member of 2 national key research projects.
She is the Assistant Director of Key Laboratory of Reproductive Genetics (Zhejiang University), Ministry of Education, the Distinguished Young Scholars of Zhejiang Province, the Distinguished Young Doctor of Zhejiang Province, the Talent of the Second Level 151 Talent Project of Zhejiang Province and an expert in National expert database of assisted reproductive technology management.
Dr. Zhang is an editorial board member of Scientific Reports, a guest editor of BioMed Research International, and also a reviewer of Endocrinology and JCEM. She has dedicated herself to basic, clinical and translational study of reproductive genetics and diseases and has published more than 50 articles in SCI journals, such as Molecular Aspects of Medicine, Aging Cell, Human Genetics, Human Reproduction and New England Journal of Medicine. She is vice chairman of Reproductive Medicine Committee of Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, vice chairman of Society of Reproductive Medicine of Association for Maternal and Child Health Studies of China, committee member of Reproductive Health Committee ofChinese Maternal and Child Health Association, committee member, Reproductive Medicine of Chinese Medical Association for the International Promotion of Health, vice chairman of Youth Commission of Reproductive Medicine of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, committee member of Youth Commission of Reproductive Medicine Branch of Chinese Medical Association, committee member of Youth Commission of Ob & Gyn Committee of Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, vice chairman of Youth Commission of Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Zhejiang Medical Association, vice chairman of Reproductive Medicine Committee of Zhejiang Province Association of Integrative Medicine, associate director of reproductive immunology branch of Reproductive Medicine Committee of Zhejiang Province Association of Integrative Medicine, vice chairman of Youth Commission of Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Zhejiang Medical Association.
