Introduction of General Gynecology Department
1.About Us
The Department of General Gynecology at WHZJU is dedicated to providing comprehensive and expert gynecologic care for patients who come to us from within the province, and across the country. We a faculty of more than 120, and the clinical and research team lead the way in many aspects of general gynecology, including minimal invasive surgery, enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS), long-term treatment and follow-up for patients with endometriosis and adenomyosis, gynecological endocrine related diseases—especially abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic floor dysfunctional diseases, female genital malformation, etc.
Currently, Dr. Zhang Xin-mei takes in charge of the Department of General Gynecology.
2.Specialty
Equipped with about 200 beds, the whole department is composed of 4 units, each of which has its own specialty and priority.
1st ward: minimal invasive surgery, laparoendoscopic single-site surgery (LESS), enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS), “Convenient, heartwarming, satisfying” nurse service
2nd ward: minimal invasive surgery, laparoscopic surgeries for deep infiltrating endometriosis, including bowl/bladder/ureter endometriosis and recurrent endometriosis, conservative surgeries for uterine adenomyosis, precise treatments for chronic pelvic pain
3rd ward: diagnosis and treatment gynecological endocrine-related diseases, perimenopausal and menopausal hormone replacement therapy, hormone replacement in cancer survivors and abnormal uterine bleeding
4th ward: gynecological urology specialty and pelvic floor rehabilitation technology, Pelvic Floor Function Assessment and Rehabilitation Treatment Area to provide pelvic floor anatomy and function assessment and non-surgical treatment.
