Department Introduction

Founded in the 1980s, Ultrasound Department of Woman’s Hospital School of Medicine Zhejiang University has gradually developed into a well-known and technologically advanced center of obstetrics and gynecology in China through the efforts of several generations. Thehe department is dedicated to proving the service of ultrasound diagnosis and treatment, consultation of difficult diseases, teaching and researching, etc. Our excellent medical team see more than 400,000 patients annually.

The department has an experienced technical team, with more than 20 medical staff and 1 chief doctor, 2 associate chief doctors, with 17 acquiring master’s degree.is equipped with 15 advanced Color Doppler ultrasound equipments among which Real-time Three dimension ultrasound machines accounts for 1/3. The department is good at ultrasound diagnosis of obstetrics & gynecology & neonate. The prenatal diagnosis ultrasound, fetal echocardiography and pelvic floor ultrasonograpy are feature and authoritative examinations of the department. Our medical staff also have rich experience in the application of some new technologies such as three dimension hysterosalpingo-contrast-sonography, automated breast volume scanner, etc. And Ultrasound-guided interventional therapy and diagnosis projects such as amniocentensis，chorionic villus and fetal blood sampling have been developed for years. The guideline of ultrasound in Obstetrics& Gynecology Zhejiang Province is edited by the members of the department.
