Department Introduction

Obstetrics Unit 1 department of Women’s Hospital is dedicated to providing expert LDR integrated (labor-Delivery-Recovery) service and pregnant education for pregnant women and their families, and we enjoys a high reputation in the public hospitals of the whole nation. Currently we have 35 medical staff and 22 LDR rooms which are the largest scale among the provincial public hospitals. There are 10000 outpatients, 800 vaginal deliveries and 560 Cesarean Deliveries annually.

The integrated clinic provides one-stop service mode for pregnant women, including registration fee, prenatal examination, laboratory test, perinatal monitoring and ultrasound examination. Integrative LDR room provides warm and comfortable family-style medical care for the pregnant and parturient, with family members accompanying  during the whole hospitalization. Midwives at the intermediate level or above deliver babies. At the same time, we provide medical services of Doula and labor analgesia. During delivery, obstetricians and paediatricians are on the spot to look after the mother and baby. The newborn will have bathing, touching, swimming and intelligence enlightening training in the mother’sroom. During maternal hospitalization, we offer door-to-door service medical and life services, including admission and discharge, meals ordering, physical examination. Each hospitalized patient has an underground parking spot. The integrated delivery room is open to all pregnant women including those with pregnancy complications.

The integrated obstetric outpatient and LDR maternity ward was opened in 2012, which set a milestone in the integrated management of maternity from outpatient to maternity ward in Zhejiang public hospitals.

The training and education of medical staff in LDR integrated maternity wards and outpatient clinics aims to ensure that pregnant women and newborns receiving integrated services of the best medical care and life services to meet the needs of the rapid development of physical and mental health of mothers and infants.

Under the leadership of the director and head nurse, obstetrics doctors and nurses devote themselves to the study of pregnancy complications and complications, including the implementation and quality control of diagnosis and treatment of various obstetric complications.
