Innovation Team of Reproductive Health and Safety is confirmed as the high-level innovation teams of colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province in 2018. The team members include 5 professors (age under 43 years old), 4 chief physicians, 2 candidates of Young overseas high-level talents introduction plan of the National Ministry of Personnel, 2 associate chief physicians, 15 scientific research cadres, 3 post-doctors, 15 Ph.D. candidates, 7 masters, and 2 research assistants. The assemblage, cultivation and development of the high-level scientific and technological innovation group is to innovate the construction and management procedure of scientific and technological talent teams in colleges and universities, further promote the implementation of innovation driven development strategy, optimize the innovation situation, and solve major science and technology issues for the economic and social development in the country and Zhejiang Province.
Innovation Team of Reproductive Health and Safety converges diverse talents from Women’s Hospital School of Medicine Zhejiang University, Department of Information Security of Zhejiang University, Micro-Satellite Research Center of Zhejiang University. Aiming at constructing a frontier reproductive medicine discipline, the team integrates outstanding talents and clinical resources in the field of reproductive medicine, and cooperates with talents in the field of artificial intelligence to conduct genetic-environmental integration research on reproductive health and safety. Via integrating multidisciplinary research and technology development innovatively, the team strives for breakthroughs in regulation, safety promotion and artificial intelligence in the field of reproductive medicine, and endeavors to build a first-rate discipline of reproductive medicine and safety, and cultivate a first-rate talent team with global vision and creative capability.
Since its establishment, the team has won a number of projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key Research and Development Program. The number of SCI papers published by the team is more than 20. It won the first prize of the China Women's and Children's Health Science and Technology Achievement Award in 2019, and the second prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education in 2018. Team members have been invited to serve as editorial board members or independent reviewers for multiple SCI journals.
