Overview:

The Gynecological Oncology Key Discipline Supporting Construction team has 25 faculties, including 1 recipient of the special allowance of the State Council, 1 national youth, 2 Zhejiang University "seeking truth" distinguished professors (physicians), and Zhejiang Province "Ten thousand people plan" And “leading talents” training, 2 provincial and ministerial level outstanding contributions of 2 young and middle-aged experts, 5 doctoral supervisors of Zhejiang University, 1 Zhejiang 151 first-level talents, 3 new talents in Zhejiang medical circles.[jq1] The team focuses on the pathogenesis of gynecological malignancies, the strategies of screening and early diagnosis. The team has made great progress in the treatment strategies of gestational trophoblast disease, and the standardized diagnosis and treatment of gynecological tumors and the innovation of fertility and physiological function preservation as well as the minimally invasive surgery. The team has launched over 70 national programs, and published more than 100 papers in SCI journals including JNCI with an impact factor of JNCI, enjoying academic prestige nationwide and even worldwide. We have 2 programs that won the Second Prize of the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award, 1 program that won the First Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award of Ministry of Education, and 1 program that won the First Prize of Science and Technology Award of Chinese Medical Association.

Relevant research results are included in the national planning textbooks and the guidelines for diagnosis and treatment, and are used for product development with independent intellectual property rights of products (2 medical device registration certificates), optimizing the current cervical cancer screening technology and mode, and improving prevention and control of cervical cancer before lesion in China, which was highly recognized by the 2008 Nobel Prize winner professor Zur Hausensen.
