Gynecological Endocrinology Team of WHZJU Attends the 21st World Congress of the International Society of Gynecological Endocrinology (ISGE)

The 21st World Congress of the International Society of Gynecological Endocrinology (ISGE) was held from May 8th to 11th, 2024 in Florence, a romantic city located in Italy. A 4-member group from the gynecological endocrinology team of WHZJU lead by Prof. Jianhong Zhou attended this congress, presented their recent achievements and discussed with other participants.

Prof. Jianhong Zhou gave an oral presentation titled “Estrogen-Sirt6 axis protects arteries against menopause-induced vascular smooth muscle cell senescence and abdominal aortic aneurysm”. The study focused on the beneficial effects of estrogen on abdominal aortic aneurysm and the vital role of Sirt6. Also, Dr. Linjuan Ma gave an oral presentation titled “Vaginal microbiota, menopause, and the use of menopausal hormone therapy: a cross-sectional study in Chinese women”.

In addition, all members listened to other reporters’ presentation carefully and participated in academic discussions with overseas experts. Through attending this congress, the gynecological endocrinology team of WHZJU has broadened their horizons and stimulated innovative thinking.
