Dr. Huang Xiufeng attended The First China-Nepal Belt and Road South Asia and Middle East Medical Forum
Dr. Huang Xiufeng at the invitation of Prof. Ganesh Dangal, President of Gynecological Oncology Society of Nepal，had attended The First China-Nepal Belt and Road South Asia and Middle East Medical Forum and The First China-Nepal Everest Forum on Gynecological Diseases, held in Nepal from May 15th to 17th, 2024. Dr. Huang Xiufeng, along with Professor Feng Limin from Beijing, Professor Zhang Hao from Guangzhou, and Professor Yan Li from Shandong, formed a Chinese expert team.
On 15th May, Dr. Huang Xiufeng together with other experts arrived in Kathmandu and went to the National Hospital of Nepal. The president of NNH, Dr Prakash Paul warmly welcomes the arrival of Chinese expert team. He hope all experts to share advanced experience with Nepalese gynecologists and improve the skill of them. Chinese experts visited the hospital and exchanged ideas with the trainees who participated in the hysteroscopy workshop training.
On the next day, the Chinese expert team conducted rounds and analyzed cases and discussed management with local doctors. Subsequently, they conducted several hysteroscopic operations to demonstrate of skill and procedure in detail. They helped local doctors solve many clinical problems through on-site guidance and interactive Q&A. The local doctors watched attentively and actively and the atmosphere on site was enthusiastic with positive feedback of greatly improvement their clinical diagnosis and treatment abilities.
The former Nepalese President Bidhya Devi Bhandari had attended the opening ceremony of the academic conference forum. President Bhandari warmly welcomed the arrival of Chinese experts. She said Nepal is adjacent to China and the friendship between the two countries has a long history. Currently, Nepal's healthcare is really under-developed, especially in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. She hopes that Chinese doctors can improve the level of obstetrics and gynecology in Nepal, and then the women of Nepal would benefit from it.
Director Huang Xiufeng made a special speech titled "Hysteroscopic treatment of submucosal fibroids" at the conference, introducing the procedure detail and technical tips. He also shared the diagnosis and treatment process of several classical cases and answered questions and won applause on the scene. He conveyed the voice of Chinese gynecologists to counterparts in South Asia the Belt and Road countries,
During this visit to Nepal, the Chinese expert team actively demonstrated the advanced level of minimally invasive gynecological technology in China, further enhancing the influence of Chinese doctors on the international stage, and building a new bridge for medical exchanges and cooperation between China and Nepal, as well as other South Asian countries. Director Huang Xiufeng also fully demonstrated the demeanor of the doctors at Zhejiang University School of medicine Women's Hospital.
In the future, with the promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative, the cooperation between China and Nepal in the medical field will have a broader and deeper prospect.
