The XXV FIGO World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics(FIGO2025)was grandly held in Cape Town ,South Africa.Hosted in partnership with the South African Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (SASOG) from October 5 to 9, the congress brought together over 8,000 healthcare professionals, policymakers, researchers, and advocates from 130+ member societies worldwide, united under the theme “Advancing Women’s Health: A Journey of Unity and Freedom.”
The deputy Chief Physician Qian Linhua of the academic representative team from our hospital, was invited to participate. He delivered an oral presentation, showcasing the latest research achievements on endometrial polyps, which elicited enthusiastic responses and high praise from the attending experts. This fully demonstrates the strong research capabilities and international influence of our hospital in basic and clinical studies of general gynecology.

Deputy Chief Physician Qian Linhua presented a study titled "Two-Year Outcomes of Levonorgestrel-Releasing Intrauterine System on Endometrial Polyps Recurrence. " This study focused on the prevention of recurrence of endometrial polyps after surgery. Through a single-center case cohort study and a 2-year follow-up observation, it was ultimately concluded that using the LNG-IUS can significantly reduce the risk of endometrial polyp recurrence in this population, supporting its role as an effective preventive strategy,earning widespread acclaim from international peers.
